To make a donation or contribution: a. ePayments can be paid through www.devtreks.org. We are charged a 2+% transaction fee and prefer donations by alternative means. b. Checks can be made payable to DevTreks and mailed to: DevTreks 1930 NW Irving Street, #402 Portland, OR 97209-1267 All donations and contributions are tax deductible (DevTreks is an official USA 501c nongovernmental organization) and contributors will receive a tax deduction verification form. Make sure that your donation includes: 1. Contact information. 2. Customers who want the source code should specify how they'll be contributing to the source code project. After proper receipt of your donation and information, DevTreks will send: 1. Instructions for downloading the latest version. 2. A tax deduction verification form verifying the specific purchase. Contributions will be used to pay DevTreks expenses and hire staff. From an administrators view, we're just getting started and we have a lot to learn (including automating the donation process). It will take some time to get up and running. Larger product purchases, or grants, will expedite startup. Grants DevTreks does not generally solicit grants directly. But if you'd like to make a grant to DevTreks to support any of the lines of business found in the BusinessPlan.txt file, please contact us at: devtrekkers@devtreks.org Reengineering vs. Open Source Participation If you are planning to reengineer DevTreks, please note that at the current rate of development, a new DevTreks version is released every 3 to 4 weeks. DevTreks has 3 notebooks full of ideas about how to improve the products and services, so the rate of versioning may not change much. As an alternative, you might want to consider joining the open source project -you won't end up with an outdated product. For information about joining the open source project, please contact us at: devtrekkers@devtreks.org
